I looked back at the ad which lay in front of me. I thought it looked, fine. I was a little nervous, this was my first personal ad, and well, you never did know who was going to reply to these things. How little I knew..
It had been about two and a half weeks since I mailed off my ad, and I was literally pacing, waiting for results. And then, the phone rang.
"Hello?" I asked
"Hello, is this Mike.. ?" the voice asked timidly.
Since mike was not my actual name, I knew this had something to do with the ad, I began to grow excited.
"Yes it is, who is this?"
"You can call me cindy."
"Alright cindy, im assuming your calling about the ad?"

I became disappointed, but then, thought, what she could mean instead..
